Before you sign anything

What to ask before you hire a legal marketing agency

Ask how they track signed cases rather than clicks, whether they know the attorney advertising rules in your state, who owns your accounts and your data, and what happens to an inquiry that arrives at nine at night. If the answers lead with impressions and a twelve month lock-in, keep looking.

Take these into every conversation you have, including the one with us. A firm that cannot answer them straight is telling you something either way.

  1. 01

How do you measure whether this worked?

    Answer to walk away from

Impressions, reach, engagement, and a dashboard with a lot of green.

    Answer worth hearing

Signed matters, and cost per signed matter. Everything above that number is a step on the way to it, not the result.

  2. 02

What happens to an inquiry that comes in at 9pm?

    Answer to walk away from

It goes into the CRM and the team follows up in the morning.

    Answer worth hearing

It gets answered in under a minute, at any hour, in the language the person used. After five minutes the odds of qualifying a lead fall by about 80 percent, so the morning is already too late.

  3. 03

Who owns the ad account, the number, and the data?

    Answer to walk away from

We manage all of that for you, under our account.

    Answer worth hearing

You do. If the relationship ends you keep the account, the history, the number, and every contact in it.

  4. 04

Do you understand attorney advertising rules in my state?

    Answer to walk away from

    Our legal team reviews everything.

    Answer worth hearing

A direct answer about your state bar's rules on testimonials, case results, and required disclaimers, before any copy is written.

  5. 05

What does month four look like?

    Answer to walk away from

We will talk about renewal when we get there.

    Answer worth hearing

It is agreed on day one, in the same agreement as the build, at a number you already know.

  6. 06

How long am I committed for?

    Answer to walk away from

    Standard twelve month agreement.

    Answer worth hearing

Long enough to install and prove it, then month to month. A twelve month lock-in is a retention strategy, not a delivery requirement.

  7. 07

Who is actually doing the work?

    Answer to walk away from

You will have a dedicated account manager.

    Answer worth hearing

The names of the people touching your campaign, and how to reach them without going through a ticket.

  8. 08

What do you do when cost per lead climbs?

    Answer to walk away from

    We will optimize.

    Answer worth hearing

Fresh creative on a schedule, because creative fatigues every few weeks. If nobody is producing new creative, cost per lead only goes one way.

  9. 09

Will my firm show up when someone asks an AI which lawyer to call?

    Answer to walk away from

A blank look, or a pivot back to Google rankings.

    Answer worth hearing

A real answer about being corroborated across independent sources, publishing answer-first pages, and keeping your name, address and practice areas identical everywhere. Almost no immigration firm has done this yet, which is exactly why it is worth asking.

Our answer to question one

$60,000+ cash collected

One partner firm, one system, money actually in the door. Not impressions, not leads, not a projection of what your firm might make. That is the only number we publish, and we would hold anyone else to the same test.
